Who I Am
My name is Clare N-Williams, founder and counsellor at You & I Counselling Services. I offer remote therapeutic support (online and by telephone) to adults and young people aged 16 and over.
Clare N-Williams trading as You & I Counselling Services is the Data Controller for the personal information you provide and is responsible for ensuring your information is collected, stored, and protected in line with UK GDPR requirements.
What Information I Collect
If you choose to get in touch via my contact form, I'll receive:

This information is emailed directly to me and is used only to respond to your enquiry.
If you go on to work with me as a client, I'll provide a separate counselling agreement explaining in more detail how your personal information, clinical notes, and records are collected, stored, and protected in line with UK GDPR and ethical guidelines.

Emails are stored securely and protected by password access
Clinical records and session notes are stored separately in encrypted, secure systems
I regularly review my data handling practices to ensure safety and compliance
I do not sell or share your personal information for marketing purposes.
Information would only ever be shared in limited circumstances, such as professional supervision (where identifying details are protected wherever possible), where required by law, or if there was a serious risk of harm.
How Long I Keep Information
Client records are stored securely and retained in line with professional, ethical, and insurance requirements. After this period has passed, records are securely deleted.
Enquiries from individuals who do not go on to access counselling are only kept for as long as reasonably necessary.
Online & Telephone Counselling
You & I Counselling Services provides remote counselling through online and telephone sessions.
Online sessions are provided through secure platforms, and further information about confidentiality, privacy, and online working is provided before counselling begins.

Ask for corrections to inaccurate information
